A New Era for Digital Menu Board Management
At OSM Solutions, we are constantly refining our platform to help restaurants, QSRs, and food service operators manage their digital signage with greater speed, precision, and creative control. Today, we are thrilled to announce that a completely redesigned Menuboard Manager interface launches Wednesday, June 3 at 12:01 AM. When you log in that morning, you will find a modernized workspace packed with powerful new features, all engineered to make building and maintaining your digital menu boards faster and more intuitive than ever before.
Sections, Styling, and True Creative Control
The most significant addition in this release is the introduction of Sections and Section Settings. You can now group menu items into distinct sections, each with its own independent styling for fonts, colors, spacing, and layout. A new draggable Section Settings panel keeps every control at your fingertips without pulling you away from your workspace, and changes apply in real time through our new Auto-Apply Preview, eliminating the old click-and-wait workflow. If you want visual consistency across an entire board, the Apply to All Sections option delivers it in a single action. If you need a featured header or promotional block to stand out, simply style that section independently and use the new Lock Sections feature to protect it from accidental edits or bulk operations.
We have also introduced True Portrait Mode, a long-requested upgrade that renders portrait displays natively at 1080×1920. Previous workarounds that relied on CSS rotation are gone. The editor now provides a portrait-aware canvas where you can drag and drop fields exactly where you want them, and images and videos are validated and handled natively in portrait orientation. What you see in the editor is precisely what your customers will see on the screen.
Smarter Pricing and Availability Tools
Restaurants with size-based pricing will benefit from the upcoming Multiple Price Variants feature. You will soon be able to display S, M, and L or any custom size variant on a single menu card, each with its own label, price, and POS ID to keep your boards synchronized with your point-of-sale system automatically. Apply a size template in one click or build a custom configuration from scratch.
Equally important are the improved N/A Field Controls, which replace the previous all-or-nothing approach to marking items unavailable. You can now mark just the price as N/A while keeping the item name and description visible, apply a strikethrough to the price alone, or strike through the item name entirely. These granular options let your boards communicate availability clearly and professionally, reducing customer confusion during peak service hours.
Quality-of-Life Improvements Across the Platform
Beyond the headline features, this release includes a host of refinements that streamline daily operations. Drag-to-Reorder Fields lets you rearrange items within a section by simply dragging them into position. A Universal Font Selector gives you access to every available font without pre-loading, so you can browse and apply typefaces from a single interface. User dropdowns now display Company followed by First and Last name, sorted alphabetically for quick scanning. Dark Mode is available in Light, Dark, or Follow Browser settings, and your preference is saved to your account so it follows you across every device. Dozens of stability fixes address issues including preview flickering, rename data loss, and search performance, ensuring a smoother experience from login to publish.
